- The hardest part about reading reviews is putting
it in context of the reason why the reviewer bought the product. At
let's be honest, everyone has different requirements for why they want
something. I have a large garden and I like to listen to music. A lot. I
don't like headphones because I like to be aware of what is happening
around me. All my music is on mp3 players - I use multiple SanDisk Clips
- so really what I wanted was an amplifier and speakers that works off
batteries. So that meant some type of boombox. And it needed to be loud.
And audio quality is not critical when you're moving around outside.
After scouting the internet almost all of the 'few' (i.e. had an Aux
input) boomboxes seemed to rule themselves out in the reviews I read as
just not punching their weight. Oh, yeah, and I didn't want to keep cost
to between $75 - $150 which I thought reasonable for what I wanted. So
pretty much ended up with the following options
